The LITA 50th Anniversary Fund was created in anticipation of LITA's 50-year celebration in 2016.
The purpose of the endowment fund is to generate income to support the development and enhancement of the Association's programs and activities.
Ensures excellence in the Association's traditional programs and services and supports growth in new directions as our profession meets the exciting challenges of the 21st century.
Provides funding for services or accommodation for library school students with disabilities at ALA-accredited library schools.
Friends of ASGCLA supports excellence in the traditional programs and services and supports growth in new directions as our profession meets the exciting challenges of the 21st century.
Supports ALSC’s efforts to attract and retain members, address intellectual freedom and equity of access issues, create public awareness campaigns, and pursue diversity in the profession.
Supports opportunities for all members to grow through grants, scholarships, Web-based learning, and training through new technologies.
Supports creative, practical programs, and institutes to meet the ever-changing needs of both new and veteran members.
Supports early literacy focused activities, such as Babies Need Words Every Day, guaranteeing ALSC’s place in the forefront of our nation’s literacy campaigns.
The Award is presented annually to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work portrays and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in literature for children and youth.
